St. Louis Business Journal Ranks BEX as Fifth-Fastest Growing Private Company

Dec. 5, 2023

BEX Construction Services has been ranked as the St. Louis region’s fifth fastest-growing private company by the St. Louis Business Journal after achieving a two-year growth rate of 232%. This is the third time that BEX has ranked in the Top 10. BEX posted annual revenue of $79.57 million in 2022, up from $57.6 million in 2021. In addition, BEX placed 134th on the Business Journal rankings of the Top 150 Privately Held Companies in the St. Louis region, ranked by 2022 revenue.

The Business Journal reported, “The growth spurred the company to build out a new office and move earlier this year from St. Charles to Maryland Heights.” Growth was driven through repeat business as existing clients built out more locations and turned to BEX for construction of more preschools, car dealerships, retailers and restaurants.

“Our growth rate was less profound than in 2020-2021 but was spurred by the same driver: the great privilege to work for repeat clients who appreciate the value we deliver and our approach,” said BEX President Randy Bueckendorf. “We are pursuing new markets that build on existing strengths, extending our reach more aggressively into the multifamily and senior living markets.”

Bueckendorf credited BEX’s clients and its 24-member team for the firm’s sustained success. “It has been gratifying to add some great new talent to our strong team, and we could benefit from more as we work to expand with the right people in the best spot for great contributions to our team and our clients,” he said.
