The American Subcontractors Association (ASA)-Midwest Council named Meredith Greene the recipient of its Office Person of the Year Award, presented at ASA’s annual gala on April 23. About 380 industry members attended.

Greene, who serves as director of human resources and administration at BEX, recalled how she launched her career at BEX four years ago on a Tuesday and attended her first ASA gala four days later. “That was the first year BEX won ASA General Contractor of the Year,” she said. “Our president, Randy Bueckendorf, talked about getting the right people on the bus. One of my new co-workers turned to me and said, ‘Randy’s really got something going here, and I think you’re here to help him bring our company to the future.’”

“I’m so grateful Randy took a chance on me, and that he has empowered and inspired me,” she added. “It’s great to be on the same bus with all my co-workers because I enjoy working with them and see daily how the diversity of our backgrounds help us be strong together.”

Greene thanked all the subcontractors she has gotten to know in her work at BEX. “We have the pleasure of working with the amazing subcontractors who serve this community, and we share a common faith in what we do together for our industry to achieve what would otherwise be unachievable.”
