Sts. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church

4112 McClay Road, St. Charles, MO 63304

  • Nine-month project was designed to fully complete this church, originally built in 1981.

  • $874,000 renovation extended sanctuary three feet in all directions to enable addition of ramp for accessibility.

  • New altar, ambo, baptismal font and other appointments gave full expression to the highly geometric church design.

  • New cruciform-shaped baptismal font was constructed at the nave’s entrance and a new adoration chapel was created.

  • BEX coordinated closely with low-voltage designers for very complex and effective constructability solutions, routing low-voltage circuits through an existing hard ceiling in the sanctuary and nave with minimal disturbance.

  • Completed and rededicated in 2021.

“Our parishioners consider this a landmark moment. They put in a lot of hard work, sacrifice and waiting before we could fulfill the vision. The BEX team was easy to work with, always accommodating and very committed to completing every element exactly as we needed or desired.”

Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha (TICK) Mikvah

14550 Ladue Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017

  • Comprehensive renovation of Sarah Sheinbein Mikvah, originally built in 2000, accommodated the Orthodox synagogue’s growing community.

  • Pre-construction services by BEX supported careful planning and budgeting of every detail in concert with the client and architect.

  • $336,000 renovation of 1,378-square-foot Mikvah, gathering space and spacious individual bathrooms.

  • Construction featured all-natural materials, including precise, ornate tile work for flooring and walls as well as new quartz vanity countertops and sinks.

  • Lighting and material modifications to ceremonial pool included replacement of the Mikvah’s concrete perimeter curb with a four-inch quartz curb.

  • ADA-compliant restroom was added.

  • Completed in 2023.

  • The Mikvah has two Mei Geshamim Boros connected to it: the Bor Zeriah, which feeds the Mikvah with purified water, and the Bor Hashaka, which purifies the Mikvah by a linking connection of water. The “kissing” of these waters makes the pool an extension of natural rainwater.

“We were inspired to pursue renovation of the Sarah Sheinbein Mikvah after learning of BEX Construction’s work on a similar project in our community. BEX did a very nice job fulfilling our vision for this space which enhances relationships between husbands and wives.”

Rabbi Moshe Winter, Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha
